Ridden
Ridden is one of the last completely locally owned ski shops in Breckenridge, and its 520 S Main Street storefront doubles as the launch pad for one of the town's best car-free adventures. The shop rents e-bikes, fat bikes, cruisers and kids' bikes in summer, swapping in skis, snowboards and snowshoes when the snow flies.
The signature trip — running for about eight years now — is the guided e-bike tour along the scenic Blue River Recreation Path, roughly 9 miles to the historic mining town of Frisco, with guides filling in Breckenridge's history along the way. The daily tour departs the shop at 9am and includes bike, helmet and guide; a self-guided version covers the same route at your own pace.
Winter brings a local twist: fat-bike beer and distillery tours that trade the rec path's summer greenery for snow-packed fun between tastings.
