The Wedgewood Lodge
The Wedgewood Lodge sits directly across the street from the Snowflake chairlift — a one-of-a-kind two-person lift with a mid-load station that ferries skiers toward Peak 8 — and three blocks from historic Main Street. Its 52 accommodations run from studio condos to three-bedroom townhomes, a natural fit for the group trips, family reunions and weddings it specializes in.
What sets it apart is who runs it. The lodge is family owned and operated, one of the few independent hotels left at the base of a Vail-owned resort, and the owners' fingerprints are everywhere. During the 2023-2024 renovation they personally curated historic Breckenridge photographs for every unit and named each room after a local ski run, backstory included — Springmeier, for instance, was among the first runs cut on Peak 8 in 1961. Staying here is a small history lesson with a chairlift outside the door.
