Riverwalk Center

The Riverwalk Center began in 1992 as a tent-covered seasonal amphitheater, built as part of the Town's Blue River Reclamation Project. In 2006, with more than $1 million raised from individuals, companies and foundations, the Town replaced the tent with today's permanent, heated 750-seat hall — seating stretches to about 770, with room for roughly 2,000 more on the lawn.

Glass doors open onto that expansive lawn for summer concerts, when the venue hosts the seasons of the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra and the National Repertory Orchestra. The rest of the year brings touring musicians, speakers, multimedia events and free community gatherings, with programming in partnership with nonprofit Breck Create.

Outside, Albert Paley's 24-foot sculpture 'Syncline' marks the riverside plaza, and each January the surrounding grounds become the stage for the International Snow Sculpture Championships.
