The Mountain Hideaway
The Mountain Hideaway is a Victorian mansion on seven city lots, nestled in the pines one block off Harrison Avenue in Leadville, the highest incorporated city in North America. Built as a boarding house, the nine-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom property sleeps 18 guests and offers flexible lodging: book the entire house for groups or reserve individual rooms, each named after a National Park. Nine bedrooms feature smart TVs, and eight have private bathrooms.

Downstairs, an open-plan living room centers around a pool table that converts to dining, a poker table, and a full kitchen with gas range and ample counter space. Outside, a fenced yard with grill and mountain-view decks complete the main house. Shared amenities available year-round include an outdoor hot tub, a four-person infrared sauna in the spa room with complimentary tea and yoga mats, a private gym with cardio equipment and free weights, a 65-inch TV and proper stereo in the game room, and 1 Gbps fiber internet.

Two free Tesla EV chargers sit on site. The property works for reunions, weddings, retreats, and offsites, and welcomes pets when you book the whole building. Lodging rates run 40–60% below nearby resort bases, making it an economical base for accessing Ski Cooper (9 miles), Copper Mountain (35 miles), and Vail (40 miles).
