Cloud City Wheelers, formed in 2007, is a community-rooted nonprofit organization dedicated to creating, enhancing, preserving, and promoting trail and cycling opportunities in Leadville and Lake County, Colorado. Reviving the spirit of the original Cloud City Wheelmen group from the 1800s, the organization brings people together through volunteer work days, trail building and maintenance, family and adult group rides, ride-to-work days, and community events.

The Wheelers host races and events including the 2027 Winter Bike Series, and play a central role in establishing Leadville as an IMBA Trail Town (2026-2028). Their mission emphasizes that good trails connect more than points on a map—they connect neighbors, open doors to the outdoors, and give communities something worth caring for together. Everyone is welcome to find their place, whether through membership, volunteering, donating, or simply riding the trails.
