At the corner of Lincoln and Main in downtown Breckenridge, this independent fly shop has been putting anglers on Rocky Mountain trout since 1994. The accolades are real: 2016 Orvis Shop of the Year and 2013 Orvis Endorsed Outfitter of the Year make it one of the most decorated Orvis-endorsed outfitters in the country — yet it remains independently owned, not a resort or chain operation.

Half-day and full-day guided trips run on the Blue, Colorado, Arkansas and South Platte rivers and welcome everyone from complete beginners to expert anglers. Every trip includes rod, reel, waders, boots, tackle and guide service; full-day trips add lunch. All guides have attended the Orvis Endorsement School, so instruction is as polished as the gear.

The shop runs trips 363 days a year — only Thanksgiving and Christmas get a pass — so winter tailwaters are very much on the menu.
