Juniperseed Mercantile
Juniperseed Mercantile is a local Colorado small business with a passion for great skincare, simple living, and the earth that sustains us. Founded by Tiffany, a chemistry nerd and science teacher frustrated by the high cost of eco-friendly products, and her mother Joan, the business makes all-natural bath and body products, home cleaning solutions, natural parenting essentials, and reusable fabric alternatives to everyday disposables—all handmade locally.

The company's philosophy centers on "Down To Earth Decadence": quality skincare and home care that is both affordable and environmentally responsible.
Their approach is rooted in a family legacy of thrift and sustainability stretching back to Tiffany's grandmother, Oma, who survived WWII Germany by being resourceful, tidy, and hardworking—living by the principle "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." That intergenerational wisdom infuses everything Juniperseed makes, from herbal remedies based on family traditions to the careful sourcing of certified organic and sustainable ingredients.

They believe sustainability means balancing personal care and comfort with mindfulness about resources: "We still need soap, and deserve to pamper ourselves, but we can't just spend our financial, emotional, or environmental resources without being mindful of the effect of these choices."
At their brick-and-mortar shop in Historic Downtown Littleton—The Formulary—customers can visit the production facility by appointment to see where products are handcrafted, access an extensive bulk refill bar where they bring their own containers for deep discounts, and participate in workshops and community events.

As of summer 2023, operations were consolidated into one location, a return to simplicity and focus on serving their community rather than expanding the brand. They prioritize partnering with small local businesses and remain committed to plastic-free shipping, glass and paperboard packaging, and keeping materials in circulation to extend usability and lower environmental impact.
