Bike Walk Golden (BWG) is a volunteer-run nonprofit advocacy group formed in 2021 and incorporated into a 501(c)(3) in 2023 to create a safer, more accessible Golden for walking, biking, and public transit infrastructure. The organization encourages people of all ages and abilities to choose active and sustainable modes of transportation, whether walking to grab groceries, biking to school, or hopping on the Ore Cart for a ride across town. The goal is to make every journey in Golden safe, convenient, and accessible.

Their projects focus on creating safer biking and walking paths, promoting public transit options, and engaging the community through various outreach efforts, including the Golden Cycling Map project and a Bike Rack Grant Program.
