The Golden Beverage Tasting & Chili Cook-Off is a beloved Golden tradition now organized by the Golden Welcome Center, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event celebrates the people, businesses, flavors, and spirit that make Golden a special place to live, work, and visit. Ticketed guests enjoy an afternoon of fun with 25+ beverage samples in partnership with Coors Distributing Company—featuring spirits, domestic beers, imports, specialty crafts, and non-alcoholic varieties—alongside food samples, delicious chilis from local cooks, entertainment, snack vendors, and access to business exhibitors.

All attendees receive a souvenir sampling glass. The Golden Welcome Center is the community's "welcome hug" for visitors from around the world, located just across the street from Parfet Park. Proceeds from the event directly support the Golden Welcome Center's community programming and outreach efforts, as well as benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
