UllrGrass Music and Beer Festival
UllrGrass is a three-day winter bluegrass and craft beer festival in downtown Golden. It is named for Ullr, the Norse god of winter (pronounced OOL-er). Festival-goers are encouraged to dress in Viking costumes. Long-time Golden residents created the festival as a signature mid-winter event to bring the community together. Festival schedule Friday and Saturday evenings: Live music under heated tents in Parfet Park. Saturday, 12 to 4 p.m.: Beer festival with samples of craft beer and cider from more than 30 Colorado breweries, plus live music on two alternating stages. Sunday: Family Day, with an egg hunt, crafts, games and live music. Food trucks are on site all weekend. UllrGrass is volunteer-powered. Proceeds benefit A Precious Child and the Coral Creek Kids Music Project.
