State 38 Distilling
State 38 Distilling was founded in April 2013 and pays homage to Colorado, the 38th State. Like the pioneers who came to Colorado in search of opportunity, the owners Don Hammond and Sean Smiley have each started multiple businesses throughout their careers. State 38 embodies a brave pioneering spirit, offering discerning drinkers history in a glass through carefully crafted spirits.

Sourcing only the purest and carefully selected ingredients like local hand-milled grains, organic blue weber agave from Mexico, and crisp Rocky Mountain water, State 38 is one of a handful of distilleries in the country to make agave spirits and distill whiskeys on the grain for more flavor. The spirit portfolio ranges from the familiar—Bourbon, Vodka, and Gin—to the adventurous—Blanco, Reposado and Anejo Agave Spirits, Absinthe, Rye, Wheat and Peat-Smoked Whiskeys. From the moment you step into the distillery, State 38 immerses you in an authentic Colorado experience.

The entire facility blends the rustic history of the region with a platform for pioneering new, vibrant experiences. Inside, the staff and tasting room give life to State 38's unique spirit line ups. Visitors can experience a tour, taste the spirits, enjoy a cocktail, and take a bottle home to share.
