The Golden Schools Foundation (GSF) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by parents and citizens of the Golden, Colorado community in 2010. As an independent non-profit, they raise and distribute funds in a responsible and ethical manner to foster excellence in educational opportunities.

Their mission is to ensure Golden neighborhood articulation schools offer children an outstanding education, working in partnership with Golden schools, public education stakeholders and the community to promote improvements in student achievements and teaching excellence through collaboration, innovation and strategic investment. Their vision is that 95% of Golden students choose to attend their neighborhood school. GSF operates a 100% volunteer Board of Directors, ensuring that resources remain focused on Golden schools.

They support enrichment, excellence, and opportunity for students and educators across Golden articulation area schools through programs including enrichment grants, teaching excellence initiatives, teacher recognition, academic summer camps, college scholarships, and mental wellness support. The Golden Gallop, their largest fundraiser and annual race event drawing over 1,000 athletes, helps provide over $50,000 annually to support local schools and empower students.
