Created by Ice Age glaciers, Flathead Lake is the largest natural body of fresh water in the contiguous western United States... and one of the cleanest and clearest. The lake ranges to 300 feet in depth, almost thirty miles long and fifteen miles across at its widest point, covering nearly 200 square miles.
