Reviewing suggestions read from a listing’s website
Facts read from a listing’s own site can fill empty fields once you approve them. Here is how to review them in one place.
Step 1: Open Suggestions in the admin
In the admin sidebar, under the catalogue section, open Suggestions. It lists every fact read from your listings’ own websites that could fill an empty field: opening hours, phone, street address, price range and stewardship copy.
Step 2: Filter to one field at a time
Use the field menu to review one kind of fact at a time. Hours want the weekly table checked against the quote; a phone or address is a one-glance check; stewardship copy needs reading for tone. Use the guide menu to review one destination’s suggestions as a unit.
Step 3: Read the row before deciding
The left side is what would be saved. The quote beside it is the text on the site it was read from, and source opens that page. A row marked verified on the page passed a second, independent check; a row marked check before applying rests on the quote alone. A yellow line under a row is a warning worth reading first.
Step 4: Apply or dismiss
Apply saves the value onto the listing. Only empty fields are ever suggested into, and if someone typed a value in the meantime the apply refuses rather than overwriting. Dismiss records that you looked and said no; the listing is not changed and the suggestion will not come back. Tick several rows to dismiss them together.
Step 5: Map routes are reviewed on the listing
A suggested tour route needs the map to judge, so the Suggestions page only lists it. Press Review on the listing to check it stop by stop on the listing’s edit page.
