Ore Cart Shuttle
The Ore Cart is a free transit shuttle that serves the Golden and Colorado School of Mines community. Operated as a partnership between Mines and the City of Golden, the Ore Cart is free for all riders, ADA accessible and designed to complement and expand access to existing transit options in the Golden area, including the RTD 17 bus and W train line.

Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. (buses arrive approximately every 15 minutes)

Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (buses arrive approximately every 30 minutes)
The Ore Cart currently operates three routes – Silver, Tungsten and Gold – all named for metals historically mined in the state of Colorado.

Free, Open to All, and Accessible: This service is free for all riders, and buses are ADA accessible.

Bike Racks on All Vehicles: Bring your bike to complement your commute in Golden.

No Holiday Service: The Ore Cart does NOT run during designated Mines holidays.

Leave your Dog at Home: As much as we love our furry friends, non-service animals are not permitted on Ore Cart Shuttles.

Tubing the Creek: Uninflated tubes are welcome on the bus, but inflated tubes won’t fit. Please walk your inflated tube along the Clear Creek Trail on the north side of the creek.

Tungsten Route
RTD W Line Station to Downtown Golden & Mines Campus
Shuttle Stops
The shuttle connects the Mines campus, Downtown Golden and several senior housing complexes to the RTD W Line station at the Jefferson County campus. The return route includes the remote parking lot at the Splash at Fossil Trace and Jefferson County Human Services before returning to campus:
