NoBo Art District
The NoBo Art District is an inclusive, grassroots, community-focused organization dedicated to promoting artists and creative businesses located along Broadway and the adjoining neighborhoods in north Boulder, Colorado.
Visitors have a variety of opportunities to view art and meet the many talented artists in our community as well as be entertained. From First Fridays to exhibits to Summer Saturdays, there’s always something to see and do in NoBo.
Things to Do
First Fridays NoBo First Friday is a FREE event featuring live music, demos and special activities in many locations. Take a self-guided tour of artists’ studios and creative businesses, meet painters, sculptors, photographers, designers, artists and artisans along your stroll through the area.
Bus Stop Gallery 4895 Broadway, Boulder CO 80304 Sitting on the old local landmark space at 4895 Broadway, our state of the art gallery space is the perfect location to showcase new visual, performing, and classic art. With great blank canvases come great responsibilities. Exhibition Openings occur on the First Friday of each month. Gallery hours are:

NoBo on the Corner 4600 Broadway, Boulder CO 80304 NoBo on the Corner is a community hub centrally located in the heart of the North Boulder Art District. NoBo on the Corner is home to NoBo’s core staff team with office hours as well as a space for community programming, art making and more. Check out rotating exhibits featured through NoBo’s Art + Place program featuring local NoBo artists.
NoBo Art Center 4929 Broadway #E, Boulder CO 80304 The NoBo Art Center presents opportunities for members to exhibit, host events, workshops and classes, performance and practice space. NoBo Art District curates monthly art exhibits in the Art Center, selected from member exhibit proposals. Use of the space is free for members and can be reserved by signing up through the scheduling calendar on a first come first served basis. Exhibition Openings occur on the First Friday of each month. Gallery hours are variable by month and visit the Art Center page for current info.
Public Art NoBo Art District public art collection includes 2 large scale murals on the south (@ Violet) and north (4949) Broadway gateways, the Emerald Mural Fence in front of 4949 Broadway, the “Place Project” sidewalk murals, various little libraries and our brand new sculpture program.
Art + Place The Art + Place program connects local artists and local businesses by offering curated exhibits in various media, rotating on a quarterly basis. Currently there are many NoBo Artists showing in various local businesses in and around North Boulder. The Art + Place program creates a vital connection for the community to view work by NoBo Artists and create a culturally vibrant community. Custom curatorial partnerships are available upon request and customized exhibits are offered at the Business Champion membership level.
Getting Here
Getting to NoBo (North Boulder) is easy—and sustainable. From downtown Boulder, hop on the SKIP bus, a frequent and eco-friendly route that travels up Broadway straight into the heart of the NoBo Art District. Prefer to bike? The Broadway multi-use path offers a safe, scenic ride with mountain views. Walking is also an option for those who want to explore local shops and public art along the way. By choosing public transit, biking, or walking, visitors help keep Boulder green while enjoying a low-impact journey to one of the city’s most creative and community-driven neighborhoods.
