Come and enjoy the peace and serenity of the Great Sand Dunes National Park at the Great Sand Dunes Lodge. Relax at the foot of the majestic Sangre De Cristo mountain range during your stay at our Colorado lodge at the entrance of the National Park.

The lodge is also a perfect place for family reunions and vacation with friends. We are close to a variety of attractions that are sure to please everyone in the group.

At the lodge, we have various types of unit to suit your needs — 2 Queen Standard Room Deluxe 1 King Room/Trundle Bed Deluxe Plus 1 King Room/2 Sofa Beds Deluxe Plus 1 King Room/1 Sofa Bed Deluxe Plus 1 King Full Kitchen/1 Sofa Bed Deluxe 1 King Accessible/1 Sofa Bed Campers Geodesic Dome (Glamping Tent). You can park right in front of your room. We serve a continental breakfast every morning for all lodge guests. Enjoy comfortable rooms featuring patios overlooking the Great Sand Dunes, high definition satellite TV, wireless internet (not reliable), microwave and refrigerator, and gas grills for families wanting to cook out.

Barbeque gazebo with gas grills are located front of the Lodge. Whether you cook or just sip a glass of wine, the panoramic view of the valley, dunes, and distant San Juan Mountains are sure to relax you. And if that is not enough, from May to early September let the amazing hummingbirds entertain you with their aerial ballet!

Sand board and sled rental: We are now renting sand sleds and sand boards for use on the Great Sand Dunes. Adults & Children sleds and boards are $25.00 each per day, Same day return by 7:00 pm. Taxes will apply. FIRST COME FIRST SERVED, NO RESERVATIONS.

Glamping Dome Tent Camping

This beautiful geodesic domes are perfect place to stay for those seeking a relaxing dry camping at gateway of Great Sand Dunes National Park at south west of Colorado. Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, It’s a wonderful spot to hang out, whether you’re sipping your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

These units are located up on the hill higher location from the Lodge building. It features a queen bed, small heater and a power outlet and a light. Common bathrooms are located within 150 feet from the domes.

Food & Drink

The lodge provides a hot breakfast.

Oasis Restaurant, independent of us, is the only restaurant within walking distance. It is closed for the months of March, April, early part of May and October. In September it is open for limited hours. To confirm the hours please call them directly at the Restaurant at 719-378-2222.

Policies:

Credit Card is charged day before on arrival.
Cancellation requires 7 days advance notice and must be received by 4:00 PM. Exceptions will be indicated in a separate letter. No charge if cancelled within this period. Beyond cancellation period, card will not be charged if the room is rented out.
Check in is after 3:00 PM and check out is 11:00 AM. No late checkout.
Lodge is nonsmoking. Smoking is allowed in designated area.
Only dogs are allowed in limited pet friendly rooms with advance notice. There is a $25 per pet per night. 50 lbs or below please.
For Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, a minimum stay of 2 nights is required.
The lodge is not responsible for accident or injury to the guest or for loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.
