Golden Pantry and Thrift is a non-profit organization that provides a sustainable food pantry and financial assistance to our community in crisis and/or experiencing hardship.
Rooted in Community, Growing in Impact In 1965, community members founded the Christian Action Guild to support Golden families in need. What began as a small thrift store soon expanded into a food pantry, providing essential aid to those facing hardship. In 1998, thanks to the Foss Family’s generosity, we found our permanent home at 1401 Ford Street, where we continue to serve and uplift our community today.
What We Do
Golden Pantry We offer nutritious food, fresh produce, and essential supplies to those in need—ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. The Golden Food Pantry is only open for accepted clients. Learn more about how to become a client on our Services page.
Golden Thrift Store Our thrift store provides affordable clothing, furniture, and household goods while funding critical programs that support local families. Every purchase gives back! The Golden Thrift Store is open to the general public Mon-Fri 10 - 4 PM! Donations are only accepted Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Crisis Fund & Financial Assistance We offer financial assistance for rent, and utilities, helping families stay housed and stable in difficult times.
Warm Referrals & Community Support We believe in warm referrals—not cold hand-offs. Our team connects individuals to additional local resources, ensuring that everyone receives the support they need with dignity and care.

Volunteer At Golden Pantry & Thrift, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you’re filling client orders in the food pantry, sorting donations in the thrift store, or lending a hand at community events, your time and talents make a direct impact on neighbors in need.
Donate Every dollar, every can of food, and every gently used item you donate creates a ripple of positive impact across our community. With your support, we’re able to provide food security, financial assistance, and dignity to those facing challenging times.
King Sooper's Rewards Support Golden Pantry and Thrift through King Sooper’s Community Rewards. Each time you shop and scan your SooperCard, a portion of the Community Rewards donation will be given directly back to us—the more our supporters spend, the larger the percentage we receive.
Host a Food Drive Food Drives are an amazing community building activity for your church, school, business, organization, or club. We can provide you with email and social media templates to promote the event upon request.
