Center for Colorado Women's History
Located in the heart of Denver, the Center for Colorado Women’s History offers bold exhibits, personalized tours, and frequent special events and programs inspired by our diverse neighbors in Denver. Guests have the option to stroll through exhibits independently on General Admission, take a docent-led Women’s History Tour, or pop in for a quick visit to our gift shop or gardens.
The Center for Colorado Women’s History is located within a spacious historic home built in 1883. Guests who choose to tour the museum will find themselves surrounded by domestic objects and art of a bygone era while listening to the stories of historic Colorado women. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long, and learners of all ages are welcome to participate.

- Monday thru Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM
- Sunday, 12 PM to 4 PM
- Open late until 7 PM every Tuesday in June, July, and August
- Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day

Volunteer Located next door to the Denver Art Museum, volunteers at the Center for Colorado Women's History support our mission as tour guides of our historic spaces, engaging visitor center volunteers to our tours and gift shop, as well as field trip facilitators for our student program, 1918.
The Center for Colorado Women’s Historyis the first state museum focused on the past, present and future achievements of Colorado women. The Center for Colorado Women’s History focuses on scholarship, research, public programs, narrative, lectures, school tours and exhibits that expand the understanding and collective memory of the history of women in Colorado. The Museum is a space for adventurous dialogue and challenging questions that:
Generate new knowledge and understandings of women’s role in history – within Colorado and beyond Reflect the diverse audiences of Colorado Share and collect stories that represent the lives and work of all women in Colorado’s past and present Amplify stories of the women who work within communities Connect local stories to the broader stories of women’s history worldwide.
