South Star Cross Country Nordic Ski Trails
South Star Cross Country Nordic Ski Trails are 25km of groomed trail system with a variety of loop trails suitable for novice to advanced skiers, in Cranbrook, British Columbia. The trail winds through stands of western larch and lodgepole pine. It is also suitable for easy hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking.
Rules and Regulations
There are designated snowshoe, equestrian, and dog-friendly trails in the winter so that the x-country trails remain undisturbed.
If you are not a member a $2 donation per ski is suggested. This can be put in the black locked box attached to the kiosk at the trailhead.
Trail System
Volunteers groom trail system and set classic and skate ski tracks. See pdf for trail map. Map can also be downloaded using the Trailforks app.
Best Access and Parking Area
Make your way South of Cranbrook along Gold Creek road. Then, turn South down 38th Avenue South and drive to the end where you'll find a yellow forestry gate, trail map, and parking area. Park in the dedicated parking area across the cattle guard at the end of 38th Ave.
