The Larix Hotel (formerly Chateau Kimberley) is also an Art Gallery. Gallery hours are 11am to 8pm daily and the public are welcome to browse the display of hundreds of pieces of local works of art. The hotel also hosts a selection of cultural events. Locals and travellers from around the world visit the Larix and welcome its warm ambiance.

The Larix Hotel is an elegant new luxury boutique hotel located in downtown Kimberley. In 2001, the Sullivan Mine, Kimberley's biggest employer for 100 years, ceased operation. Its Head Office was restored and renovated with an European decor, and operates today as a lovely historic place to relax and revive: The Larix Hotel. Renovations to the hotel were completed in 2004. The building originated in Moyie, and was brought to Kimberley by train in 1930.
