Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club maintains the world-class Whiteway trails. Trail System
With the charming towns of Windermere and Invermere sitting lakeside of Lake Windermere a few locals saw the opportunity to turn the frozen lake into a winter playscape. In 2006, they saw their dream realized and today it offers a multitude of winter activities mere steps from town.
There are typically four loops groomed across the length of the lake, so you have the option to do a shorter distance, combine a few loops or circumnavigate the lake connecting all the loops. The options are endless.
Best Access and Parking Area
Large timber frame "trailheads" mark official entry points and provide user information, maps and information about the local Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club.
Official entry points onto the Whiteway: Kinsmen beach in Invermere, Invermere Bay Condos in Invermere, and Windermere beach.
