Fairy Creek Falls
Fairy Creek Trail leaves from British Columbia's Fernie Visitor Center and ushers you along a forested trail before popping out at picturesque cascading Fairy Creek Falls with views of Mount Proctor. At approximately 4 km out and back the trail makes for a family friendly or perfect post-meal hike. Make sure to glance up at trees along the trail as you hike. There are a handful of trees with claw marks from mountain lion and/or bear. It makes for a good reminder you're actually visiting their home. Elk Valley Wild Nature Tours offers guided outings if you're more inclined to do a group outing with a naturalist.
