Columbia Basin Culture Tour
Explore an abundance of cultural riches as you visit studios that are not normally open, wander through a museum or art gallery that you have not been to in a while, see new exhibitions and collections, browse or shop for art and meet the local artists, curators and historians in attendance at the participating venues. Self directed and free of charge, you can make a day of it or just make a few stops. Why not follow your map and find a new place to stop for coffee or lunch?
From the stunning hand-blown glass of Sandpiper Studio in Windermere, to the historical exhibits of the Valemount Museum, to the wealth of talented ceramic artists collaborating in the Slocan Valley, there is something for everyone on this tour. Plan to spend one day, at least. Events start at 10 am and run to 5 pm, both Saturday and Sunday, which gives you a chance to explore further afield.
