Pacaya Samiria National Reserve

Pacaya Samiria is the second largest protected natural area in Peru. It is a paradise for nature lovers, with a biodiversity that includes more than 1000 species of animals and 965 species of wild plants. The Reserve’s humid, tropical and flooded forests form an autonomous ecosystem that is home to oxbow lakes such as Lake El Dorado, and indigenous communities who supplement their incomes through experiential tourism initiatives.
