Sunset Happy Hour is a Steamboat tradition that occurs most Thursday and Sunday nights. Guests take the gondola up to Thunderhead Lodge for panoramic views of the Yampa Valley, live music performances, and food and beverage options. A full bar and light appetizers and snacks are available for purchase, including chips and guac, chips & salsa, caprese skewers, pretzel and beer cheese, sliders, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and fries, pizza, and rotating options.

The event runs from 5:00pm to 9:30pm with live bands performing from 5:15-6:15pm (opener) and 6:30-9:15pm (headlining band). In inclement weather, Sunset Happy Hour moves to Timber & Torch restaurant in Steamboat Square with limited menu and headlining band only at 6:30pm.
