Seeley Lake Nordic Trails

An extra bonus is a well maintained warming hut to eat lunch or take a break in. There are no user fees charged to use this trail system, but donations are always welcome to cover grooming costs.

The Seeley Lake area offers three signature nordic skiing experiences:

  • Seeley Creek Trail System
  • Double Arrow Ranch Lodge
  • Monture Guard Station Cabin

  • Jan 20th: Seeley Lake Outside Skiesta- 1K, 5K, & 10K Freestyle Nordic Youth Race
  • Jan. 27th: OSCR "Over Seeley's Creeks and Ridges"- 50km, 20km, 10km, & marathons

Best Access and Parking Area

Seeley Creek Trail System From Seeley Lake drive north on MT-83, turn right on Morrell Creek Rd., destination (trailhead/warming hut) will be approx. 2 miles on the left side of the road

Double Arrow Ranch Lodge From Seeley Lake drive south on MT-83 S toward Cedar Ln, turn left onto Double Arrow Rd, slight left onto Lodge Way, destination will be on the left

Monture Guard Station Cabin From Clearwater Junction (Highway 83 and Highway 200), travel east on Highway 200 for about 13 miles. Turn north on Forest Service Road 89 and continue for 8 miles. Cross the bridge over Monture Creek and proceed, veering slightly to the left for about 100 yards, to a small parking area. Maps are available online or for purchase by calling the Seeley Lake Ranger District.

The total distance from the parking area to the cabin is approximately a mile. The winter entrance to the cabin is on the rear (east side) of the cabin.
