Rocky Mountain Guides
Founder Peter Krainz is an Austrian Bergführer — a certified mountain guide in the European tradition — and he's been guiding Summit County terrain professionally since 1992. His Breckenridge-based team carries AMGA and IFMGA credentials, the highest certifications in the trade, which matters when the day's plan involves avalanche terrain or vertical rock.
Winter is the marquee season: guided backcountry ski and splitboard touring, intro-to-backcountry programs for intermediate through advanced riders, and ice climbing. Come summer, the calendar shifts to guided hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking around Breckenridge, Keystone and Frisco. Trips serve all skill levels, from first-time hikers to experienced mountaineers.
Everything runs by reservation, with convenient in-town meeting points in Breckenridge, Frisco or Keystone — no long drives required to reach the goods.
