Museum of Boulder
The Museum of Boulder showcases inclusive community stories, preserves them for the future, and inspires all of us to effect positive change. Founded in 1944 as the Boulder Historical Society to collect, document, preserve and interpret the history of the Boulder area, the museum has accumulated a significant collection of artifacts, documents and photographs chronicling the area's history. In April 2013, the museum purchased and converted the historic Masonic Lodge building in downtown Boulder into a state-of-the-art facility.

The museum explores not only the roots of the community but the accomplishments today that will be history tomorrow, bringing the community together for exploration and conversations about issues facing Boulder. It reaches thousands of school children through in-museum and outreach programs, offering some of the highest quality education programs in the region.
The museum now serves as a visible and reliable source of information in the Boulder community and a place to bring friends and family, featuring nationally touring exhibits as well as exhibits based on Boulder stories including Native Americans, aerospace history, natural foods, sports and beer.
