La Leona Ecolodge

La Leona Eco Lodge sits right by Corcovado National Park, where the rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean. National Geographic once described it as 'one of the most biologically intense places in the world.' The lodge was founded as a family dream by Salma Polanco and Walter Morales, who arrived in the Osa Peninsula in 1969 and spent decades developing the vision before initiating the project in 2000. The family now shares their privately protected rainforest with guests.

The tent-cabins are designed to create a unique immersive experience, surrounded by magical scenic views. Beach tent cabins are located steps away from the beach, featuring private bathrooms with open-roof garden showers and front decks with comfortable chairs. Guests wake to fresh ocean breezes, the sounds of the Costa Rican rainforest, and the country's most amazing sunsets.

La Leona Eco Lodge combines sustainable practices and environmentally responsible operation with adventure and nature immersion, offering birdwatching, night tours, kayaking, and guided explorations of Corcovado National Park.
