Flathead Lake Mack Days

People from far and wide come to fish Flathead Lake to help remove invasive lake trout in hopes of winning awards and cash prizes for number and size of fish caught. Head on over to Flathead Lake if you want to hear about the big one that got away, try your luck catching prize worthy fish, and help with the management of an important fishery.

Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River. With its vast size you can expect weather systems different than the rest of the Flathead Valley. Recreating and watching sunsets on this natural wonder is a must. While you are in the area check out the charming lakeshore towns of Polson, Lakeside, Somers, and Bigfork.
