Cactus Jack's Saloon and Grill

Cactus Jack's Saloon & Grill is a locally owned, independent restaurant and bar in Evergreen that has been serving the community since 2001. When Gary and his family took over from founder Allen Major in 2001, Cactus Jack's was a genuine dive bar where people came for cold drinks, familiar faces, good conversation, and a place where they felt at home. Over the years, the restaurant slowly grew and evolved while staying true to what made it special—remaining Evergreen's local watering hole.

The establishment is known for its great burgers, sandwiches, and bar food, with many items made from scratch in-house. Cactus Jack's has weathered significant challenges and emerged stronger. In 2013, the restaurant flooded during a catastrophic 100-year flood event but was rebuilt with support from the Evergreen community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the business prioritized keeping its staff employed and working through an incredibly uncertain time. Today, the restaurant is a gathering place where longtime locals sit next to newcomers, families have lunch, golfers come off the course, and musicians perform live shows. The restaurant features weekly events including Mule Monday, Taco Tuesday, darts and pool tournaments, open mic nights, and live music performances. All are welcome at Cactus Jack's, and the restaurant has partnered with the Evergreen Coalition for Racial Justice to ensure it remains a place where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
