Blue Mountain Bed and Breakfast
Welcome to our Missoula bed and breakfast. Our private guest rooms offer picturesque views of gardens, forests, mountains, or the valley. Each room features a comfortable king or queen-sized bed with high-quality linens and a private bath with a jetted tub and shower. We’ve incorporated a touch of the West and local culture into each room’s decor.
The Lewis and Clark Lodge facility at our Missoula Bed and Breakfast is a three story log building that is inviting upon arrival and perfect for small family reunions or conferences. The spacious, top floor of our B&B in Missoula affords a magnificent view of the Bitterroot River and Missoula Valley while curling up with a good book, visiting with family, friends or other guests, or playing a variety of board games or billiards. The decor of the bed and breakfast offers curious folks an opportunity to learn more about Montana’s history, wildlife and culture through a wide selection of books, novels, and family heirlooms. The middle floor of our Missoula B&B lodging is reserved for two private guestrooms, The Sagebrush Suite and The Bitterroot Room.
Hawk Hill House, the main facility, lies a short distance from the Lodge. The house stands on top of a spectacular forested overlook, allowing for views of the valley floor and Sapphire Mountains to the east, as well as a nestled-in view of the hillside, pond and waterfall to the west.
Picture windows in every guestroom and common space of the house look out over the mountains and gardens, luring a person to go hiking, sit on the patio, or enjoy the out of doors from inside while reading a good book or listening to the old player piano. The kitchen, gift store, and living and dining areas are on the main floor of the home while a small library/study and three guest rooms, The Syringa Suite, Ponderosa, and Rose Room, are on the upper level. We look forward to showing you around our Missoula B&B soon!
Your Hosts Brady and Elaine Anderson-Wood are native Montanans who have an avid interest in helping to preserve and pass on local history and wildlife opportunities to others. The gardens as well as log and cedar structures on the property were designed and built primarily through the joint effort of family members who worked together to create a mountain dream, come true.
Brady and Elaine have passions that include gardening, woodworking, cooking and music, meeting new people and enjoying the little critters that reside in their home and on the mountain. When they are not busy with the Bed and Breakfast, they spend their hours hiking and photographing the surrounding landscape and taking part in community activities. Brady is a full time host at the b&b, while Elaine maintains a part-time teacher career during the school year.
