16th Annual Alamosa Christmas Light Parade

Each December, Main Street in downtown Alamosa fills with floats, marching bands, and holiday lights for the Christmas Light Parade. Families line the sidewalks to watch illuminated entries roll past in the cold winter air, with local businesses, schools, and community groups decking out their vehicles and floats. It's free to attend, walkable, and squarely aimed at kids and anyone who likes a small-town holiday tradition.

This is the 16th year of the parade, a fixture on Alamosa's winter calendar in the heart of the San Luis Valley. The route runs through the central downtown, so you can pair the evening with dinner at a nearby restaurant and warm up between the lights.

Mark December 19, 2026 on your calendar. Bundle up, bring the kids, and claim a curb spot early along the parade route. Visit Alamosa lists the schedule and any route details as the date approaches.
