Things to Do
Rio Nuevo Wildlife Tours Your certified naturalist guide will take you to one of the most remote and unexplored areas in the Osa Peninsula. BioSur Foundation’s Río Nuevo Nature Reserve preserves an ancient primary tropical rainforest, surrounded by giant trees over 40m tall and plants considered living fossils. During the expedition, it is possible to observe a large number of birds and mammals, many in danger of extinction. With luck, you will see tapirs, pumas, ocelots, primates, otters, tayras, sloths, and many more amazing forest wonders.
