Tunich Ha is a family owned eco tourism destination in Cattle Landing Village, just minutes from Punta Gorda, Belize. Ranked as a top birding hotspot in the Toledo District on eBird, our 30 acre property is home to more than 320 resident and migratory bird species. Explore rainforest trails, paddle along the scenic Joe Taylor Creek, discover medicinal plants, and enjoy authentic Belizean hospitality. Getting Here
Car
– From Vaca Plateau, head south on the main road towards Punta Gorda. Continue driving for approximately 30 minutes until you reach a junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto the road signposted for Cattle Landing Village. Drive for about 15 minutes until you reach Cattle Landing Village. Once you arrive in the village, follow the signs leading you to Tunich Ha. You may need to ask locals for directions as the signage can be limited. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
– If you prefer to use public transportation, catch a local bus from Vaca Plateau to Punta Gorda. Buses run frequently throughout the day. The fare is usually around BZD 10-15. Once you arrive in Punta Gorda, you will need to find a taxi or a local shuttle to take you to Cattle Landing Village. The taxi fare should be about BZD 20-30. Upon reaching Cattle Landing Village, ask the driver to drop you off at Tunich Ha or follow any signs that point to the attraction.
Walking
– If you are already in Cattle Landing Village and wish to walk to Tunich Ha, the location is approximately a 20-minute walk from the village center. Head south, following the road that leads out of the village. Keep an eye out for local signs or ask residents for assistance; they are usually very helpful. The path is relatively straightforward, but be prepared for uneven terrain.

Kayak
– For an unforgetable adventure, start your eco-excursion in a kayak in the Caribbean, then paddle up Joe Taylor Creek until the creek gets narrow. We will meet you on our property and walk our trail and spot wildlife. We'll have lunch at our ecolodge and nerd out on nature, farming, and conservation.
