Lee Lake

Lee Lake is a front-country recreation destination popular among locals, especially before the rivers open for angling in mid-June. The surrounding foothills ranch country sits beautifully against a backdrop of sharply rising Rocky Mountains.

Boat Access Locations

Alberta Conservation Association maintains a fishing access and boat launch just off Highway 507 at north end of lake. Arriving from Highway 3, the access area is visible before the lake itself.

Driving Directions from Nearest Town or Landmark

Lee Lake is adjacent to Secondary Highway 507, a few minutes drive south of its junction with Highway 3 at Burmis.

Fishing Highlights

Stocked rainbow trout provide steady work for spincasters fishing from shore or from boats. Fly fishing is also popular but difficult from shore because of close vegetation and steep banks.

Paddling Highlights

A 5 km/h speed limit for power boats keeps the surface calm for paddlers.
